• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) - Night shift L&D nurse
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,890 - $1,990

Qualifications & Requirements

• Active RN license: Ohio RN or a valid Nursing Compact (NLC) license
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse experience
• BLS (AHA) required; additional certifications may include NRP and ACLS as required by facility
• Ability to complete required onboarding health screenings and competency validations
• Strong skills in maternal and newborn assessment, intrapartum and immediate postpartum care
• Electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) competency and fetal strip interpretation experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns (maternal-newborn, perinatal, postpartum)
• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor and delivery; perform appropriate fetal monitoring and assessments
• Assist physicians and midwives during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care
• Administer medications and interventions as ordered and document medication administration accurately
• Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, postpartum care, and newborn care
• Document all care accurately and in a timely manner in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (OB, anesthesia, pediatrics, lactation consultants) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Agency staff may be reassigned to an open shift later in the week or floated to another unit or care site within the Mount Carmel Health System to maintain contracted hours, as needed.
