divh2Patient Services Coordinator I/h2pThe main focus of the Patient Services Coordinator I position is to deliver exceptional patient-centered customer service and to support IBJI teams. This position is responsible for accurate registration, optimal patient scheduling, and other office duties that contribute to a great patient experience, a positive team atmosphere, and achieve company goals. This position will work at the Buffalo Grove and Highland Park Physician Clinic locations./ppResponsibilities:/pulliWelcome patients and visitors to IBJI by providing and maintaining the highest quality customer service experience/liliPreparing paperwork to facilitate efficient operation and excellent customer service/liliAnswering general inquiries/liliAppointment scheduling/liliPhone reception, patient triage, and escalation to appropriate staff/liliRegistration/pre-registration procedures to include the review of patient demographics, insurance and advising patient to provide any necessary documents/liliPreparing paperwork to facilitate efficient operation and excellent customer service/liliCheck in/out procedures/liliPatient chart management/liliCollection/posting of patient responsibility payments (including copays and deductibles)/liliInsurance verification and Referral management as required/liliMaintain a clean and safe work environment./liliOther duties as assigned./li/ulpRequirements:/ppEducation:/pulliHigh school diploma or equivalent required/li/ulpCertifications/Licensure:/pulliNot Applicable/li/ulpExperience:/pulliMinimum one year experience in customer service role (medical office experience preferred)/liliEHR experience (Epic experience preferred)/li/ulpTechnical Skills:/pulliNot Applicable/li/ulpSoft Skills:/pulliMust be available to work a flexible schedule to meet the demands of a changing scheduling environment and accommodate the needs of the practice/liliWork is performed in a fast paced office environment and involves frequent contact with physicians, staff, patients, and the public/liliWork may be stressful at times/liliContact may involve dealing with angry or upset people/li/ulpPhysical Requirements:/pulliStand or sit for extended periods of time/liliWork may require hand dexterity for office machine operation; using a calculator and/or computer keyboard/liliPhysical demands may also include, stooping, bending or reaching to files and supplies, wearing a headset, mobility to complete errands or deliveries, sitting for extended periods of time and viewing a computer monitor/li/ulpBase salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills and relevant experience.
