Job Title: RN House Supervisor Profession: Nursing Specialty: Long-Term Care Duration: Full Time Shift: Evenings Hours per Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM Experience: Minimum of one (1) year in long-term care with previous supervisory experience License: State RN Licensure Certifications: BLS Certification (through AHA or RQI only) Must-Have: BLS Certification, State RN Licensure Description: Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, oversees the operation of the nursing units. Provides clinical supervision to employees assigned to the nursing units. Plans, directs, coordinates, and evaluates the nursing department's activities. Ensures adherence to established policies, procedures, standards, and regulations. Assures quality resident care through effective teaching and supervision of staff on respective shifts. Communicates with the Director of Nursing regarding identified and potential unit problems. Collaborates with the Director of Nursing to resolve issues as needed. Makes sound administrative decisions in the absence of the Director of Nursing and the Administrator during off-shift hours and weekends. Leaves appropriate communication for all other items that require attention.
