Overview

SILTT is on the hunt for an innovative Electrical Engineer with expertise in advanced data center technologies, infrastructure, and telecommunications systems. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, experience with power distribution systems throughout the design and operations lifecycle, have field experience in maintaining electrical systems, and be hungry to apply all facets of this expertise across the spectrum of high-density data center infrastructure. If you’re intrigued by the opportunity to pioneer innovative data center solutions and have a passion for ensuring reliable and efficient power distribution in critical environments - SILTT eagerly awaits your application today!

Who We Are

At SILTT we’re pushing the limits of infrastructure innovation in the Telecommunications and Information Technology industry. From delivering world-class modular data center facilities to all-hours, 365-day operational response and disaster recovery, our multi-functional team of experts are force multipliers across the infrastructure landscape. We pride ourselves in leading from the front to advise, assist, and accompany our clients through their toughest technological and operational challenges. We always deliver results (we spell it “re-SILTTs”)+!

Why SILTT

At SILTT, “objective-driven” means first being “people-driven”. As a small business we know that the ability to achieve our mission demands we take care of our own by providing our team members with a variety of benefits that allow them to live fulfilling, healthy, balanced, meaningful lives. That’s why we believe in offering paid healthcare, ultra-competitive 401K matching, accrued paid time off and fixed holiday leave, continuous learning and professional development incentives, and promote a sustainable work-life balance.

A Call to Action

As SILTT charges ahead in the competitive world of technology, we need a strong technical electrical engineer to help us pioneer and maintain innovative solutions within the data center and telecommunications industry. This critical position will collaborate on solutions from analysis, concept, prototype, productization, integration, testing, fielding, and sustainment. No two days will be the same! One day may be dedicated to developing and leading a comprehensive O&M plan, the next conducting a First-of-a-Kind (FOAK) system inspection, another spent designing new electrical assemblies and creating a Technical Data Package (TDP), and others working with vendors to track and refine requirements of electrical assemblies we seek to purchase or develop. This Electrical Engineer will have the opportunity to be on the ground floor and help define the trajectory of SILTT’s future and identity in the “Solutionspace”.

A Day in the Life

In this role, you will focus on providing technical expertise and engineering ingenuity towards a large array of challenges and innovations within the data center sector. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Design and analyze power distribution systems for data centers, including medium and low voltage systems, generators, UPS, battery, and energy management systems.
• Foster close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, IT specialists, and project managers, to seamlessly integrate electrical solutions with HVAC systems, network infrastructure, and other critical data center components.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards such as IEC 60909, ANSI, NFPA 70, and NFPA 70E.
• Develop clear, concise, and comprehensive technical specifications, detailed reports, and documentation for all electrical components, systems, and installations, adhering to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
• Provide technical support for installation, commissioning, and maintenance of power distribution equipment.
• Play a key role in the development of long-term strategic plans for data center operations, maintenance, and upgrades, encompassing capacity planning, technology refreshes, and infrastructure improvements, and provide expert guidance and support during all phases of project planning, implementation, and evaluation.
