Senior Product Security Engineer

The Senior Product Security Engineer will work within Allegion’s global cybersecurity organization, collaborating with product development teams to ensure a high standard of quality, security, and data privacy across the full system lifecycle. The role reports to the Director of Global Product Cybersecurity. Location: Indianapolis, IN 8750 Hague Responsibilities Serve as the security point of contact for software, firmware, and physical product development teams across the enterprise, handling data privacy, integrity, authorization, device, and application security. Leverage deep knowledge of secure development processes to help teams build, verify, and maintain secure products. Assist in the design of firmware security architecture to ensure strong communication, authorization, authentication, integrity, and confidentiality controls. Contribute security requirements that guide product development toward applicable security standards and certifications. Investigate emerging security threats, assess applicability to Allegion products, and proactively coordinate mitigations with affected teams. Participate in solution assessments throughout the lifecycle: concept, design, pre‑deployment, post‑deployment, and end of life. Identify and prioritize vulnerability remediations for development teams, explaining the impact to stakeholders with varying security backgrounds. Perform penetration testing and ethical hacking on Allegion products as needed. Travel up to approximately 15% of the time. Qualifications 5+ years of electronic device or firmware development experience. Demonstrated focus on application security or cybersecurity. Experience working with Internet of Things devices. Ability to advance beyond generic vulnerability remediation advice into applied cybersecurity concepts. Excellent interpersonal skills to influence and partner across all levels on product development, software development, and cloud deployment/operations, including risk mitigations. High learning agility to quickly acquire visibility across Allegion’s global software and product portfolio. Highly technical practitioner with working knowledge of delivering secure products and services globally using modern technologies. College degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or equivalent education or experience. Related industry certifications are preferred.
