The Save Mart Companies' philanthropic non-profit organization, The CARES Foundation, provides vital resources for children and families and has donated over $5 million to local communities.We are currently recruiting for the position of:Senior Accountant - Modesto, CAJob SummaryThe Senior Accountant provides high level analysis and performs complex accounting tasks to ensure accounting processes are in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), IRS and other regulatory agencies. This includes responsibilities related to company financial audits, real estate and lease accounting, and financial statement consolidation. The position is responsible for writing internal accounting memo's to support/guide the company's adherence to GAAP as it relates to changes in facts/circumstances or new accounting pronouncements. The Senior Accountant recommends, designs, and implements controls based on policies, provides review and analysis on a variety of areas as assigned.
