Engineering Technician

This position is an entry level position who will work with a more experienced engineering technician until he/she is proficient in all routine tasks. This technician is responsible for performing varied but standardized tests and procedures using scientific techniques and methods; recording, analyzing, and reporting results; and working under oversight of the supervisor or a more experienced technician.Work may be checked in progress and technical accuracy is reviewed on completion.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Apply basic skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment appropriate to area of specialization. Conduct routine tests, analyze the data and document results. Participate in systems integration, fabrication and modification tasks. Provide support and assistance with systems pre-test setup, integration, checkout, and post- test tear-down. Work under direct supervision but may select from a variety of established procedures to accomplish tasks. Compute and combine data and report findings to supervisor. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
