Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Water Treatment Mechanic to perform advanced-level work in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of water treatment systems and related infrastructure. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading technical maintenance tasks and projects to support optimal plant operations. Responsibilities Perform complex maintenance, repair, and installation of pumps, motors, valves, blowers, chemical feed systems, and other treatment equipment. Ability to read blueprints and P&ID’s, electrical knowledge, basic plumbing skills, instrumentation and field set‑up and commissioning. Diagnosing equipment and systems issues. Assist with the planning and execution of preventative and corrective maintenance programs. Collaborate with operations staff to support continuous plant performance and efficiency. Monitors operational performance of mechanical systems and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory performance standards. Maintain accurate records and reports related to water operations, including production data, maintenance logs, and regulatory documentation. Provide guidance and training to entry‑level technicians and staff professionals as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in water treatment operations is preferred. 3-8 years of experience in hands‑on water and/or wastewater treatment experience. Thorough understanding of equipment operations and maintenance. Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in computer applications for data management and reporting.
