Maintenance Technician

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production. This position will diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues, perform preventative maintenance, and respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on manufacturing equipment.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) to maintain equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
• Inspect equipment and monitor operating conditions to identify potential issues before failures occur.
• Maintain proper hydraulic fluid levels and replace equipment filters as needed.
• Perform required greasing, lubrication, and routine equipment maintenance according to manufacturer specifications.
• Repair hydraulic, pneumatic/air, water, and other mechanical leaks.
• Inspect, maintain, and test machine safety devices to ensure proper operation.
• Follow all required Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures when performing maintenance activities.
• Respond to emergency equipment breakdowns and complete repairs in a timely manner.
• Participate in troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Accurately enter, review, and complete maintenance work orders.
• Maintain forklift maintenance checklists and other required maintenance documentation.
• Assist with maintenance projects, equipment improvements, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications.

• Minimum of 1 year of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair abilities.
• Hands-on experience with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals, maintenance instructions, and equipment documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly identify equipment issues.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work with employees and teams at all levels of the organization.
• Willingness to participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving activities.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and apply torque up to 180 lbs.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and proportions.
• Ability and willingness to work overtime during the week and on weekends as needed.
