Drive the Harvest: Short-Haul Grain Shuttle

Location: Pomeroy, WA / Central Ferry, WA

Pay: $26.00–$32.00/HR

Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM (must be flexible, OT required)

Picture your day: you arrive in Pomeroy just after sunrise, complete a quick pre-trip inspection, and roll out in a well-kept CDL-A rig. Your route is familiar and tight — a steady shuttle between Pomeroy and Central Ferry — moving wheat and other regional crops for a local agricultural cooperative. At the elevator, you engage push-button systems to load or unload with minimal physical effort, then head back for another run. You stay in touch with dispatch, keep a close eye on safety and DOT guidelines, and finish the day knowing you helped keep the harvest moving.

What You’ll Tackle

• Drive a CDL-A truck on a consistent shuttle between Pomeroy and Central Ferry
• Safely haul grain and other agricultural commodities
• Operate push-button loading/unloading systems with minimal manual handling; pitch in with loading occasionally when needed
• Follow all DOT, company, and site safety protocols
• Perform routine vehicle checks and promptly report maintenance issues
• Maintain steady, clear communication with dispatch and team members
