We help businesses and municipalities reduce and divert waste, lowering disposal costs and fueling local supply chains by ensuring materials are recovered, recycled, and reused.The Scale Attendant position is responsible for assisting scale house administrative functions. This individual will be operating the scale system. The role requires a detail-oriented and adaptable professional who can maintain accuracy and focus in a fast-paced recycling processing plant.Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision coverageCompany-paid Life InsuranceFlexible Spending Account (FSA)401k with company matchPaid Parental LeavePaid Time Off (PTO)Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Tuition Reimbursement ProgramShift: 8:30am to 5:15pmOperate scale house computer systems to obtain accurate weight information for incoming recycling haulers and outbound shipments.Compare scale tickets and bills of lading to verify shipment contents and weights for accuracy.Issue receipts to drivers and collect required tickets and documentation.Maintain accurate and organized records for reporting and operational analysis.Communicate effectively with haulers, truck drivers, supervisors, and peers in person, by phone, radio, and email.Performing day to day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork.Follow all company safety policies and procedures while working in warehouse operations.Perform additional duties as assigned to support operations.High School Diploma or equivalent.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.Experience using computer systems for data entry and information processing.Detail-oriented with the ability to obtain, document, and record information accurately from multiple sources.Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced and noisy environment.Organized, punctual, and dependable.Positive attitude and professional demeanor.Ability to interact with truck drivers, haulers, vendors, and customers in a friendly and professional manner.A normal work environment is a recycling plant, with exposure to all weather conditions, dirt, high levels of noise, smells/odors and at times exposure to dangerous and/or toxic substances requiring necessary precautions, including PPE.
