Four hearings at the Commission before lunch. An IME that reads like it was written about a different claimant. An adjuster who wants a reserve figure by three o’clock.

Why the range is wide

• $105,000 to $165,000. They’ll hire anywhere from 1 to 5 years, so the band covers two levels: an associate a year or two in toward the lower end, and someone close to five years who already runs a hearing docket toward the top.

What you’ll actually do

• Defend Maryland workers’ compensation claims, with Commission hearings at the center of your week.

• Work on several stages of each matter, so you see a claim from more than one angle.

• Sit on key client teams. You’ll know the client by name, and they’ll know yours.
\n
• Learn inside a group that builds mentoring into how it works.
\n
