Lab Services Team Lead - Chemistry

Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Team Leader for the Chemistry department at Dell Children's Medical Center in Austin, Texas. The role involves supervising daily operations, training staff, performing technical procedures, and ensuring quality patient care in a Monday-Friday shift with rotating weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervisor with daily Chemistry department operations and management
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly production reports for management review
• Train new hires and develop current staff competencies
• Monitor and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation for proper functionality
• Evaluate specimen acceptability and perform routine and complex technical procedures

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Chemical, Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
• 4+ years experience as a Laboratory Technologist or Technician
• Proficiency with Laboratory Information Systems and Microsoft Office
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
• ASCP and/or AMT certifications preferred
• 2+ years team supervision or leadership experience preferred
