Location: Rancho Mirage, CA
Employment Type: Full-Time / Contract (through Nextaff)
Responsibilities
- Perform digital screening and diagnostic mammography procedures according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Prepare patients for exams by explaining procedures and addressing questions or concerns.
- Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Operate and maintain mammography equipment while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Review images for technical quality and repeat studies when necessary.
- Follow all radiation safety guidelines and infection control procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide excellent patient care.
- Ensure compliance with MQSA, ACR, HIPAA, and facility policies.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Current ARRT certification in Radiography (R).
- ARRT Mammography (M) certification required.
- Current California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of mammography experience preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
