Security Engineer (Cybersecurity & Controls)

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in security engineering concepts, with at least 2 years of applied experience
• Basic experience developing security engineering solutions
• Working knowledge of using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities in security engineering workflows, including validating outputs and handling sensitive data appropriately
• Ability to review AI-assisted code and security recommendations, validate them before use, and escalate uncertainty while following security and data-handling requirements
• Demonstrated coding ability in one or more programming languages
• Experience with SDLC practices, including agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
• Working knowledge of information and network security, IT risk management, and architectural concepts and patterns
• Proficiency with approved tools for analyzing incident data and supporting vulnerability assessments

• Deliver standard security solutions using established playbooks to meet internal clients security requirements
• Use enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to support vulnerability analysis and security documentation, validating results and protecting sensitive data
• Write secure, high-quality code in at least one programming language with limited guidance
• Analyze and correlate incident data with approved tools to identify, interpret, and summarize threat likelihood, impact, and vulnerabilities
• Support continuity awareness, training, educational activities, and exercises
• Apply reuse-first and AI-assisted practices in SDLC and toolchain routines to strengthen security testing and control validation, maintaining traceability and auditability and meeting resilience and security expectations
