Sushi Cook Position

We are seeking a dedicated Sushi Cook to join our upscale culinary team. The ideal candidate will bring precision, creativity, and a passion for high-quality ingredients, delivering an exceptional dining experience through expertly crafted sushi. Open availability is a must.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sushi, sashimi, nigiri, and specialty rolls with consistency and attention to detail
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of all fish and ingredients
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary sushi station at all times
• Assist with event setup and breakdown as needed
• Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate execution of orders
• Monitor product freshness and quality, ensuring all dishes meet presentation standards
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Contribute to menu development and daily specials when applicable

Experience

• Prior experience as a Sushi Cook or in a similar culinary role preferred
• Strong knife skills and knowledge of sushi preparation techniques
• Understanding of proper food handling and sanitation practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Team-oriented with strong communication skills
