The Operating Engineer supports operation, inspection and maintenance processes to mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems.

You will work as part of an engineering team of 5 at a 1.5M square foot campus comprised of office space, conference centers, labs, and data centers. This position requires the Operating Engineer to be on-site. Local market requirements may vary slightly.

Schedule: 7am-3:30pm Monday through Friday + rotating on-call

What You'll Do

Complete assigned tasks pertaining to entire campus building systems and general maintenance that include but are not limited to: HVAC, including chiller plant/cooling tower maintenance, painting, pressure washing, maintaining lighting system bulbs/ballasts, plumbing, water treatment, locksmith work, generators, and UPS maintenance.

Maintain work order system (CMMS) daily and complete any tenant service requests

• Perform assigned preventive maintenance and inspection tasks
• Support on-call or emergency response situations
• Troubleshoot all building systems, including electrical, DDC and pneumatic controls
• Comply with all safety procedures and statutory requirements
• Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs
• Assist in project oversight in partnership with Facility management team, and project managers as applicable
• Vendor management as assigned
• Other projects and tasks to be assigned

What You Bring To The Table

3+ years of related work experience, especially in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry

Trade school education, union training, military service or college is desirable

Universal CFC EPA certification or interest in achieving within first year (with JLL assistance)

Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall

Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift and/or drive

Strong customer service skills

Estimated compensation for this position:

66,400.00 96,200.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
