Our team is responsible for designing and improving manufacturing processes to make production more reliable, efficient, and cost-effective, and providing engineering support to the production floor.What You Will Be DoingYour responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:• Development of tooling and equipment designs from engineering hardware specifications and culminating in complete technical data packages fully defining the tooling / equipment and allowing fabrication of detailed components and assembly of the end item.• Design / documentation efforts to be accomplished IAW company standards utilizing Creo / Solid Works.• Provide engineering support to the production floor for issues that may surface in normal day to day integration processes by analyzing and using problem solving skills in a team environment in accordance with production rate requirements.• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve production issues.• Developing and implementing new manufacturing processes and systems.Why Join UsWe're looking for a talented Manufacturing Engineer who is passionate about improving production processes and adopting new technologies. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim Secret clearance is required to start.Performs in a collaborative environment to develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling. Drives adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement. Creates and analyzes 3D based model data environment to optimize manufacturing process and digital work instructions. Leverages understanding of materials and automatic processes to define operations procedures and build sequences to drive operational excellence. Evaluates performance (including IoT devices, etc.) of equipment and tools to verify their efficiency and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure operational excellence. Leverages factory data to develop statistical process control approaches and integrates reporting and data analytics solutions for continuous improvement. Provides input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.Basic Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.• Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance, therefore, U.S. Citizenship is required. • Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.• The ability to translate technical drawings and specifications into practical manufacturing instructions is essential.• Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).• Knowledgeable of machine / tool mechanical design.• Knowledgeable of general manufacturing / integration processes.• Competent with mechanical manufacturing and mechanical assembly.• Competent with bill of materials (BoMs) and Indentured Parts Lists (IPL).• Ability to work Third ShiftDesired Skills• Proficient with MS Office suite.• Proficiency or experience with AutoCAD, CREO, or SolidWorks.• Knowledgeable of hydraulic and pneumatic systems/equipment used in a Manufacturing Environment.• Knowledgeable of engineering materials.• Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, including team building, collaboration, and developing enduring business relationships throughout all levels of the organization.• Ability to identify and solve complex issues.• Troubleshooting production issues using failure mode effects and analysis (FMEA), root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions (RC/CA).• Previous missile or rocket assembly experience.Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $76700.00 - $142500.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
