Experience: Minimum of 2 years in emergency room nursing, including 1 year in a Level 1 or 2 years in a Level 2 trauma facility with pediatric experience.

License: Must have a valid state license

Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC (TNCC may be pending but must be obtained before the start date)

Must-Have: Experience with pediatric patients; Epic charting system experience is required

Description: Candidates are required to work weekends and holidays as scheduled. Scheduled days will vary based on staffing needs. Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed. Nights can be 36 or 48 hours. Must have a minimum of two years of experience in an emergency room setting. Pediatric experience is needed but does not need to be from a dedicated pediatric ER. Candidates must be willing to float within their scope of practice. A maximum of 40 hours of time off can be approved during the contract. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy among others. The unit handles various patient diagnoses, including level I trauma and comprehensive strokes. Experience with triage is essential. References are required for submission. Candidates must have a valid state license in hand prior to the start date. Additional certifications as specified are necessary for employment.
