Make an Impact as an Industrial Maintenance Technician
Picture the start of your shift: you review preventive maintenance tasks, scan open work orders, grab the right tools, and team up with a senior technician to keep production humming. As part of our Maintenance & Reliability group, you’ll document what you do, follow established procedures, and fix equipment and facility issues safely and correctly—every time. What your day looks like- Own your safety and your teammates’—PPE, lockout/tagout, and safe tool use come first.
- Execute PMs and close out work orders for facility and equipment with a zero-downtime mindset.
- Hit daily targets for assigned projects and tasks; communicate status and risks early.
- Restock parts, tools, and consumables so the shop is always ready.
- Fabricate jigs, fixtures, and templates from designs; assemble parts to blueprints and shop drawings.
- Learn and apply fundamentals of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and power transmission systems.
- Perform walk-throughs, review yesterday’s issues, and brief the team on machine status.
- Tackle bench repairs—rebuilds, cleaning, function checks, and upgrades.
- Handle basic maintenance on pumps, compressors, and piping systems.
- Use technical manuals, specs, drawings, and schematics to guide your work.
- Coordinate with production and maintenance; align with the Shift Manager on priorities.
- Support seasonal and off-hour facility maintenance as needed.
- Grow your craft—learn continuously and share fundamentals with others.
- Flex to other work centers to help the team win.
- Take on additional duties as assigned by your supervisor.
This role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and may take day-to-day direction from a senior technician.
Your toolbox: knowledge and skills- 1–2 years of hands-on experience maintaining industrial equipment.
- Clear, professional writing—document processes and send concise emails and memos.
- Professional verbal communication with customers and coworkers; share accurate technical information.
- Math comfort: add/subtract/multiply/divide ; work with fractions and convert to decimals.
- General facility repair skills: painting, drywall, plumbing.
- Basic electrical troubleshooting: read wiring diagrams/schematics and use a DMM.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and power transmission principles.
- Blueprint and reference drawing literacy.
- Adaptable and quick to adjust to changing priorities.
- Familiar with LEAN: 5S, Kanban, one-piece flow, and basic continuous improvement methods.
- Read OEM manuals; follow step-by-step diagnostic and repair procedures.
- Skilled in welding, milling, and lathe operations.
- Safe with power tools: nail guns, panel saws, miter saws, and more.
- Read a tape measure and perform fractional calculations.
- Accurately complete In Process Inspections and related paperwork.
- Operate material handling equipment safely: pallet jacks, lift trucks, jib and gantry cranes.
- Operate a man lift safely.
- Thorough knowledge of task-specific safety requirements.
- Computer savvy: locate instructions and forms on the LAN/databases.
- PLC programming experience
- Maintenance and repair capabilities
- Tool/Die/Mold repair proficiency
- Tool/Die/Mold setup experience

Employee will also be required to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, sit and reach on a regular basis during a normal working shift This position requires frequent lifting up to 50 pounds. Work can be done at ground level, in confined space, or at elevations. Exposures include elevated noise levels associated with a manufacturing environment, fluctuations in temperature ambient conditions as well as intermittent exposure to the weather in and about the yard and dock areas.Working hours can include any of three shifts and generally are scheduled for forty hours a week. Some weekend overtime is to be expected.
