Seymour, CT, US AOI Operator Summary Operate Automated Optical Inspection Equipment and identify defects on circuit board assemblies. Level I: Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Communicates and listens effectively in a professional and courteous manner. Work in compliance with Microboard, OSHA and SDS safety policies. Demonstrate a working knowledge of the AOI machine. Demonstrate the ability to load the proper program, load and run boards, and log defects as appropriate. Proficiency with and working knowledge of Microboard MIS (Aegis) software is required. Component Identification training is required. IPC 610 Certification required. May be asked to code simple programs required to operate the equipment Ability to train and supervise other AOI operators. Basic computer skills such as, shutdown, startup, and navigate folders Language Skills: Ability to read and speak English fluently. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving simple variables in standardized (normal) situations.
