Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36–48 Hours Per Week | Weekends Required | Every Other Holiday Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting during night shift hours
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for emergency patients including pediatric populations
• Float within scope of practice to other units as staffing needs require
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
• Complete specialty-specific orientation modules as assigned during onboarding

Required Qualifications

• Active or pending RN licensure in Virginia (must be in hand prior to start date)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience required
• At least 1 year of Level 1 Trauma Center experience, or 2 years of Level 2 Trauma Center experience, including some pediatric experience
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required (must be active at time of start)
• TNCC required (candidates may submit with TNCC pending, but must obtain prior to start)
• Epic EMR experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN degree preferred
• Experience in high-volume or academic medical center emergency departments
• Broad pediatric emergency nursing experience
