3x12-Hour Night Shift (19:00 - 07:00) with some weekend shifts required.

Job Description

This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Labor and Delivery unit of a Level II Trauma Center. The RN will provide care for patients during labor and delivery, including handling high-risk cases such as pre-eclampsia, diabetes, and VBAC techniques. The role involves active management of laboring patients, performing inductions and augmentations, and responding to maternal emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Administer care to laboring patients including monitoring vital signs and fetal heart rate.
• Assist with labor management and delivery procedures.
• Provide education and discharge teaching to parents.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
• Utilize Epic for documentation and charting.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
• Patient ratio experience of 1:2 for labor and 1:3 for antepartum.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current RN license.
• ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, and NRP certifications are required.
