Security Supervisor

As an Aircraft Security Supervisor, you will be responsible for a wide range of functions to maintain positive control of the aircraft at all times and ensure the safety of the aircrew members and cargo. Job Responsibilities Consult with the previous shift supervisor for ongoing assignments Schedule guard assignments and dispatch officers to assigned posts Coordinate with the Safety & Training department to ensure all security guards complete required training Make recommendations to management on discipline, promotions, demotions, and terminations Brief security officers on operational issues and verify proper grooming and uniform Ensure all posts are covered on an hourly basis to maintain proper coverage Write reports of daily activities and irregularities Carry out specific tasks and duties as required for the assigned post Transport pilots to and from desired destinations Maintain security of cargo and company equipment, observing any tampering or pilferage, and report incidents to supervisor as needed Maintain work area in a clean condition; report damaged or broken equipment as needed Complete paperwork and forms related to work assignments and enter data into the company information system as required Additional Responsibilities Follow company procedures and protocols to ensure safe and responsible operations Receive cross-training for all contracted posts to assist departments and clients during emergency incidents Complete all required training as mandated by the company, airport authority, or customer Be punctual, prepared, and safe; work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays Safety, Security and Compliance Take reasonable care for the health, well‑being, safety, and security of yourself and others at work Cooperate with your manager or supervisor to comply with legal requirements imposed on the company Not intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse company property for health or safety reasons Inform your manager or supervisor of any work situation, equipment, or activity that represents a serious or immediate danger Report hazards, near misses, incidents, accidents, or dangerous occurrences to your manager or supervisor, who will follow company and carrier procedures Carry out work in accordance with information, training, and specific safety and security rules or procedures Fully understand AGI Health & Safety and Security policies Attend training courses as required by AGI Physical Requirements Must be able to walk and stand frequently and for extended periods Must be able to be alerted to moving vehicles or aircraft and use radio equipment to communicate with crew and airport authorities Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions around jets and machinery noise Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Professional presentation: must have a well‑groomed appearance and a customer service‑oriented attitude Good communication skills: communicate information and instructions verbally and/or via radio equipment effectively with flight crew, gate agents, and other ground crew Problem‑solving skills: troubleshoot security issues as needed Time management skills: manage time effectively to complete tasks efficiently in a fast‑paced environment Curiosity and enthusiasm: willing to receive cross‑training on all contracted posts to assist during emergency incidents Qualifications Possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Have an active Security Guard license For U.S. locations: authorized to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986; for Canadian locations: authorized under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) of 2001 Complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security If required by customer or role access: secure a Customs Seal through the respective governing agency Preferred: at least one year of relevant experience Benefits AGI offers a comprehensive benefit package, including paid vacation and medical, dental, and vision coverage for full‑time qualified employees, as well as medical coverage for part‑time employees.
