Job Description
This assembler role focuses on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical assembly in a high-volume manufacturing environment. You will use a variety of hand, power, and hydraulic tools to build and assemble components according to work instructions, blueprints, and manuals. The position requires accurate measurement skills, the ability to interpret technical documentation, and a willingness to train in multiple areas of the production process.
Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical assembly of components and products using hand, power, and hydraulic tools.
• Follow detailed work instructions, blueprints, and manuals to assemble parts to specification.
• Use tape measures and other measuring tools to take precise measurements and perform metric-to-imperial conversions as needed.
• Inspect parts and assemblies during and after work to ensure quality standards and correct fit.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in a dark, industrial manufacturing environment.
• Adhere to all safety procedures, including wearing required personal protective equipment such as metatarsal steel-toe footwear, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
• Stand for extended periods, typically 75% or more of the shift, while performing assembly tasks on concrete floors.
• Participate in training across multiple areas of the production line to support cross-functional work and operational flexibility.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and leads, respond constructively to feedback, and work effectively as part of a production team.
• Support production goals by working 10-hour shifts and participating in overtime as scheduled.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 6 months of prior assembly experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge and practical experience using hand, power, and hydraulic tools for at least 6 months.
• Ability to read and work from work instructions, blueprints, and manuals.
• Proficiency with tape measures and strong understanding of both metric and imperial measurement systems, including the ability to perform conversions.
• Comfort working in a large manufacturing environment with multiple buildings and production areas.
• Ability to stand for at least 75% of the workday on concrete floors.
• Strong attendance and reliability, with a demonstrated history of consistent work habits.
• Ability to take instruction well and respond positively to direction from supervisors and team leads.
• Willingness to train in multiple areas and support cross-training efforts.
• Attention to detail and commitment to following safety and quality procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• No high school diploma or GED is required for this role.
• Prior experience in a dark, industrial, or heavy manufacturing environment is beneficial.
• Experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical assembly beyond the minimum requirement is an advantage.
• Ability to work 10-hour shifts on either day or night schedules and to participate in overtime on Fridays.
• Comfort wearing personal protective equipment, including metatarsal steel toes, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
• Interest in pursuing additional training and higher certifications supported by paid training programs.
• Motivation to grow into advanced roles and leadership opportunities within a production setting.

Work Environment
The role is based in a large manufacturing facility with multiple buildings featuring concrete floors and an industrial atmosphere that can be dark, musky, and dirty in some areas. Team members typically stand for 75% or more of their 10-hour shifts, working either day or night schedules from Monday through Thursday, with overtime available on Fridays. Metatarsal steel-toe footwear is required, and safety glasses and hearing protection are mandatory and provided. All tools and necessary equipment are supplied on-site. The typical dress code consists of jeans with a t-shirt or sweatshirt; shorts and sweatpants are not allowed. The environment emphasizes safety, production efficiency, and hands-on work with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical assemblies.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shady Grove, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.50 - $25.54/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
