Apps Support Sr Analyst

The Apps Support Sr Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits. Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage production support activities, including analysis, issue simulation in lower environments, user training, and release deployments.
  • Maintaining and managing application systems and their operating environments to meet service level expectations.
  • Performing daily checks, continuous monitoring, and regional handovers.
  • Conducting same-day risk reconciliations.
  • Developing and maintaining technical support documentation.
  • Identifying improvements to maximize application potential.
  • Assessing, escalating, and managing production issues and risks.
  • Ensuring proper storage, archiving, and application contingency planning.
  • Partnering with development teams on bug fixes and tooling.
  • Participating in application releases (development, testing, deployment) and post-implementation analysis.
  • Acting as a liaison between users, internal technology groups, and vendors.
  • Advising/coaching junior analysts and acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
  • Driving stability, efficiency, and effectiveness initiatives, while ensuring compliance and ethical judgment.

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of experience in an Application Support role.
  • Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux commands and shell scripting.
  • Expertise in database platforms such as Oracle, OraaS, and MongoDB.
  • Experience with WebSphere and OpenShift platforms.
  • Proficiency in AI tools and platforms.
  • Familiarity with job scheduling tools (e.g., Autosys) and application monitoring tools (e.g., ITRS Geneos, App Dynamics).
  • Experience with problem management tools.
  • Proven ability to install, configure, and support business applications.
  • Proficiency in programming languages with a willingness to learn new ones.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range: $96,400.00 - $144,600.00
