Physical Therapist

Position Overview The Ulster BOCES Center for Innovative Teaching & Learning Student-Based Programs is seeking a Physical Therapist for a full‑time, 10‑month position for the 2026‑2027 school year. Must hold an appropriate NYS license to practice and be fingerprinted. Experience working with special needs children preferred. Roles and Responsibilities Assigned to students in special education targeted for physical therapy services by the local school district Committee on Special Education. Implement program for children identified for physical therapy services. Analyze data from physical therapy and other educational evaluation results. Develop short‑ and long‑term goals, working with staff to coordinate program development. Document outcomes, select methods, and prepare the treatment environment each day for scheduled children. Evaluate children in classroom for possible services and recommendations. Coordinate physical therapy programs with the total educational curriculum. Assist with supervision of students. Provide classroom consultation to teachers and staff regarding identified special needs. Assume additional duties as assigned by the supervisor. Work Schedule 10‑month schedule, September through June. Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 2:40 p.m. Minimum Qualifications Possession of a license and current registration issued by the NYS Department of Education to practice as a Physical Therapist.
