What You’ll Be Part Of
You will be part of a growing metal manufacturing operation supporting the processing, handling, and distribution of metal materials in a fast-paced, safety-focused warehouse environment. This role leads warehouse floor operations while supporting production flow, quality, inventory movement, and on-time fulfillment.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can motivate and develop a team, maintain high safety and quality standards, and effectively manage daily operations in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Why This Role Matters
The Warehouse Supervisor plays a critical role in keeping daily warehouse operations safe, efficient, and productive. You will lead warehouse associates, coordinate staffing and workflow, monitor performance, and ensure materials, equipment, and resources are being utilized effectively.

This role also contributes to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to reduce waste, improve workflow, increase productivity, and strengthen overall warehouse performance.

What You’ll Do
• Lead, coach, develop, and mentor warehouse associates to achieve performance, safety, and quality expectations
• Coordinate daily warehouse activities, including staffing, scheduling, work assignments, and workflow priorities
• Monitor warehouse operations to ensure production and fulfillment goals are met safely and efficiently
• Enforce company safety policies and maintain a safe work environment through daily floor walks, audits, and safety checks
• Ensure employees follow established safety procedures and workplace standards
• Monitor attendance, work hours, meal periods, rest breaks, and employee performance in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations
• Train and develop associates to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their responsibilities safely and productively
• Hold team members accountable for performance, attendance, quality, safety, and workplace conduct
• Monitor product quality and ensure warehouse activities meet established quality standards
• Ensure proper utilization and maintenance of equipment, tools, manpower, and materials
• Identify equipment, staffing, material, and workflow issues that may impact productivity or production schedules
• Assist with troubleshooting equipment issues and coordinate maintenance when needed
• Work with warehouse leadership to evaluate warehouse layout, material flow, and operational processes to improve throughput and efficiency
• Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S principles to reduce waste and improve warehouse operations
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities related to productivity, quality, safety, and cost performance
• Monitor KPIs and operational metrics to track performance and achieve department goals
• Communicate company goals, operational priorities, and individual expectations clearly to warehouse associates
• Maintain housekeeping standards for warehouse areas, equipment, and shipping and receiving yards
• Manage warehouse supplies within established budget guidelines
• Promote teamwork, communication, employee engagement, and a positive work environment
• Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager and other teams to resolve operational issues and improve processes
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Ability to effectively manage staffing, workflow, attendance, and performance issues
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to promote teamwork and employee engagement
• Metals manufacturing experience with the ability to understand production processes, material flow, process optimization, and operational problem-solving

What We’re Looking For
• 5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment
• 5+ years of experience working in manufacturing production or a related industrial environment
• Experience leading teams in a fast-paced, high-volume operation
• Strong understanding of safety, quality, and operational procedures
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, Six Sigma, or 5S principles preferred
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to make independent decisions and effectively prioritize competing operational needs
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building abilities
• Ability to remain calm and effective in stressful, fast-paced situations
• Metals manufacturing or metal distribution experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred

Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout a warehouse or manufacturing environment during the shift
• Ability to see, hear, speak, and communicate effectively with employees and leadership
• Ability to occasionally reach, lift, and handle materials or equipment
• Ability to work safely around warehouse equipment, machinery, and materials
