School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Detroit, Michigan

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary learners as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist. This onsite position is set in a vibrant school environment working with K-5 students, helping them reach their full communication potential from October through late June. With a structured Monday through Friday schedule, you'll be part of a mission-driven academic setting making a tangible impact every day.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Active SLP licensure and ASHA CCC required
• Prior experience working in a school setting with K-5 students strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter; highly coachable and open to feedback
• Excellent communication skills able to interact effectively with students, staff, and families
• Collaborative mindset and responsiveness in a dynamic educational team

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech and language services to a K-5 caseload onsite according to IEP goals
• Conduct screenings, evaluations, and document progress using school district guidelines
• Collaborate with teachers and special education staff to develop targeted interventions
• Maintain thorough records and communicate strategies to families and team members
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to planning for student success
• Stay up-to-date with best practices in speech-language therapy and integrate new methods as appropriate
