Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical Facility Overview: Level III NICU Teaching Hospital | 228 Beds Unit: Medical Surgical – IU 4 Center Beds: 32 Experience Required: Minimum 1 year First-Time Travelers: Accepted Surgical patients (bariatric, bladder, orthopedic – knees & hips, plus other surgical types) Diabetics, kidney & liver failure, cardiac, stroke, and respiratory patients Days: 1:4–5 Nights: 1:5–7 Required Certifications: BLS ACLS Required Skills: Post-operative care Wound care & chest tubes Experience with cardiac, heparin, and insulin drips Unit Support: CNA support: 1:6–8 (Days), 1:8–10 (Nights) Charge nurse with partial assignment Phlebotomy for peripheral draws Respiratory Therapy & Hospitalist (24/7) Charting & Equipment: EPIC Alaris Pyxis Centralized telemetry with tele tech Floating: May float to other Med-Surg units (travelers float first). Orientation: 1 day on the unit Scheduling: Every other weekend rotation Up to 2 weeks PTO approval No on-call requirements Holiday expectation: 1 summer & 1 winter holiday Additional Information: Scrubs: Any professional color (no denim or camo) Parking: Free parking in designated employee areas #J-18808-Ljbffr
