Essential Functions Greet all guests in a friendly, positive manner and make personal connections. Welcome each guest upon entry and thank them upon exit; hold the door whenever possible. Seat guests at appropriate tables according to rotation and server assignment. Assist with table service, including: Filling empty beverages Clearing dishes from tables Fetching and delivering items Pre‑bus, clear tables, and wipe them down. Wipe down menus. Answer phone calls, take reservations, and run to‑go orders. Ensure restrooms are presentable, properly stocked, and cleaned as needed. Maintain a stocked Server Assistant stand (e.g., crayons, kid menus, regular menus). Maintain regular and recurrent attendance. Perform other duties as requested by management. Position Requirements Minimum Knowledge: Ability to interpret and extract information, perform arithmetic functions, and communicate effectively. Formal Education & Experience: None required. License, Registration, or Certification: None required. Work Schedule: Regular shifts that may vary between day, evening, night, holiday, and weekend assignments based on business demands. Travel: No travel to other Suburban Inns properties or client locations; work is completed on the property. Uniform and Appearance Guidelines Uniform: A shirt and nametag will be provided. Team members are responsible for clothing that meets Suburban Inns specifications: black slacks or dark‑wash jeans without holes, and black, closed‑toed, non‑slip shoes. Appearance: Hair must be well‑groomed. Facial piercings and tattoos not covered by the uniform require managerial approval. Offensive tattoos (beyond protected characteristics) must be covered or concealed at all times. The policy is administered by the position’s supervisor and may be vetoed by the Vice President of Operations.
