Job Summary and Qualifications

Coordinates the clinical management of the stroke patient population and their families across the entire continuum of care. Serves as a leader for the stroke program performance improvement initiative. Acts as a clinical resource/role model for all areas caring for stroke patients. Provides and/or coordinates educational activities for both staff and patients. Acts as a community liaison on behalf of the program and hospital. Directly involved in the marketing/promotion of services provided. Incorporated within each of these role functions, the stroke coordinator is a role model, patient advocate, change agent, leader, and cost-effective practitioner.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse licensed in the state of Texas or compact license
• Bachelors Degree required
• SCRN Certification preferred
• 3+ years of experience in Neurosciences or Emergency Care field
