As a Medication Aide, you will support that mission by providing safe medication assistance, personal care, comfort, and dignity to residents and guests. What You'll Do As a Medication Aide , you will support residents and guests by assisting with medications, providing daily care, and communicating changes or concerns to the nursing team. You will:
- Assist with medication administration according to physician orders, care plans, and facility procedures.
- Follow the five rights of medication administration and maintain resident privacy and dignity.
- Observe residents and guests for changes in condition, behavior, or needs and report concerns promptly to the nurse.
- Provide personal care and daily support based on each resident's or guest's care plan.
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, mobility, toileting, and other care needs as directed.
- Support residents and guests with meals, hydration, dining, and daily routines.
- Answer call lights timely and help determine resident or guest needs.
- Document medication assistance, care provided, refusals, and changes accurately and timely.
- Partner with nurses, Nurse Techs, therapy, and other team members to support quality care.
- Follow infection-control practices, safety standards, and Hillcrest policies and procedures.
- Help maintain clean, safe, and comfortable resident care areas.
- Build positive, respectful relationships with residents, guests, families, nurses, and team members.
- Experience working with older adults and providing personal care services in long-term care, post-acute care, hospital, senior living, or a similar setting preferred.
- A compassionate, dependable, and respectful approach to care.
- Strong attention to detail with medications, documentation, safety, and follow-through.
- Strong communication skills with residents, guests, families, nurses, and team members.
- Ability to notice changes in condition and report concerns promptly.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- A team-first mindset and willingness to support others throughout the shift.
- Comfort using technology and care resources efficiently and effectively.
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the state of Nebraska required.
- Active Medication Aide certification in the state of Nebraska required.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous long-term care, post-acute care, hospital, senior living, or medication aide experience preferred.

- Must be able to independently lift up to 35 pounds.
- Must be able to perform repetitive sitting, bending, standing, walking, and movement as needed.

- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
- Must be able to utilize technology and care resources efficiently and effectively.
- Possible exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids.
- Other duties as assigned.
