Job Summary and Qualifications Full time (Monday - Friday, days), no nights, no on call, no weekends, no holidays. Seeking a Medical Assistant who provides clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care. What You Will Do Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking patient histories and vital signs. Prepare exam and treatment rooms with the necessary instruments, including preparation and maintenance of supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization. Give injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy. Assist physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals. Answer telephone calls to the practice and screen referrals. Qualifications Experience: One year of Medical Assisting or other direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting. Certification/License: Medical Assistant Certification is required. Acceptable certifications are RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, NRCMA, or ABR-OE credentials. Medical Assistants who recently graduated (within the last 12 months) from a Medical Assisting training program must obtain certification within 60 days of employment. Candidates with one year of Medical Assistant work experience who do not possess certification must obtain certification within one year of hire date.
