Senior Full Stack Developer

Salary: $155,000 - 190,000 per year Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping customer-facing web applications
• 3+ years of production experience with React and TypeScript
• 3+ years of experience with server-side rendering, including Next.js
• 3+ years of experience modeling data and querying relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, and using Redis for caching
• 2+ years of experience building APIs with Python FastAPI
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
• Strong commitment to automated testing, code reviews, clean code practices, and collaborative Git workflows
• Ability to communicate a technical vision, move quickly with a lean startup mindset, and mentor junior engineers
• Preferred: 2+ years building backend services with Go, Python, Node.js, or Java
• Preferred: Experience building and using agentic workflows (MCP)
• Preferred: Experience developing simulation user experiences
• Preferred: Experience developing image or video editing applications
• Preferred: Understanding of Docker/Kubernetes containerization and cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Must live in the United States and be authorized to work in the United States; we are unable to sponsor employment visas

• Lead development of our first customer-facing React and TypeScript web application and Python command-line interface
• Architect, develop, operate, and maintain intuitive, high-performance web applications and command-line tools
• Design and implement RESTful APIs with Python FastAPI and integrate them with systems running AI and simulation workflows
• Develop or integrate backend microservices using Go, Python, Node.js, or Java
• Design database schemas and migrations, and build performant queries for relational and/or NoSQL databases
• Create and maintain unit, integration, and acceptance tests
• Support CI/CD with GitHub Actions, Docker/Kubernetes, and web deployment
• Implement observability using OpenTelemetry
• Enable configuration and execution of physics-based simulations, image and video data generation, and data management and analysis

This full-time senior role is based remotely in the United States and sits within our Engineering department. It begins as an individual-contributor position with the opportunity to grow quickly into a leadership role.
