ME Engineer Line Design

Production & Operations focuses on designing, managing, and improving production processes and business operations, as well as manufacturing technologies and supply chains. The role involves working with modern systems such as SAP and dashboards, some of which are self-programmed. This is a cross-functional and international environment that offers performance-driven, diverse challenges and exciting projects.You can look forward to these exciting tasksAssist in design state-of-the-art assembly lines, manufacturing equipment, and production concepts to meet internal and external customer requirementsDevelop and evaluate equipment layouts, technical concepts, specifications, drawings, and manufacturing processes for new and existing production linesSupport the design, construction, testing, installation, and implementation of manufacturing equipment from initial concept through production launchEnsure production line and equipment designs meet established requirements for quality, cost, safety, reliability, timing, and performanceAnalyze existing equipment and manufacturing processes to identify continuous improvement opportunities that increase efficiency and optimize cost, quality, and delivery performanceCollaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, suppliers, and other cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues, implement new technologies, and ensure successful equipment launchesAn internal candidate has been identified for this position; however, all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply and will be consideredThis is what you bring to usBachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field, with a strong foundation in manufacturing, mechanical, industrial, or similar engineering principlesUp to 3 years of relevant engineering experience, preferably supporting manufacturing equipment, assembly lines, or production processes within an automotive or industrial environmentAbility to interpret engineering drawings, equipment specifications, layouts, and other technical documentationStrong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment design, continuous improvement principles, and requirements related to quality, safety, cost, reliability, and production efficiencyStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams, manage priorities, and communicate clearly in EnglishApplications from qualified individuals with disabilities are expressly welcome.Your contact person: Marisa Tavolacci, People & Organization Auburn Hills, MI Get to know us here and find out why we are passionate about attracting talent to Webasto.
