Salary Range (LA/DC): $49.09/HR - $60.10/HR ($102,107.20 - $125,008.00 annually) * The salary range is the one that Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP reasonably expects to pay for this position. Join Our Governance Team as a Governance Analyst II ** The Governance Analyst II role is equivalent to a Conflicts Analyst position at most other law firms. ** Are you passionate about driving compliance and operational excellence? As a Governance Analyst II , you’ll play a pivotal role in advancing the Firm’s governance program. This position partners closely with legal, operations, and technology teams to ensure adherence to Firm policies and client outside counsel guidelines. As a core member of the Governance team, you’ll lead key processes and technologies—including conflicts checks, new matter intake, ethical walls, records management, and audit letters—while engaging directly with partners, clients, and cross-functional teams across the Firm. Job Functions & Responsibilities Provide subject matter expertise to the governance program, including conflicts checks, new matter intake, ethical walls, records management, outside counsel guidelines, and audit letters Conduct conflicts checks for new client/matters, pitches, prospective attorneys, and professionals Prepare and analyze conflicts reports to identify potential conflicts issues Communicate potential conflicts issues to attorneys and other interested parties; assist with conflicts resolution Document and maintain matter lifecycle data in Intapp, 3E, and other systems Complete new business intake forms and provide administrative support for the intake review process Draft, analyze, and review engagement letters; evaluate the need for ethical walls Set up ethical walls in billing and document management systems; draft and circulate ethical screening memoranda Firmwide Tools Proficiency with conflicts database systems (e.g., Intapp, 3E, Aderant, Legal Key) is required Proficiency with records, intake, and secure file transfer systems (e.g., Intapp, 3E, FileTrail, Varonis, Kiteworks) is desired Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is desired Familiarity with Microsoft 365 (e.g., Microsoft SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive) and document management systems is desired Minimum Job Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Bachelor's degree preferred, advanced degree a plus 3+ years law firm conflicts, governance, or records experience Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking, and analytical skills Ability to work proactively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, interacting professionally with others Physical Demands Writing, typing, reading, speaking, hearing, seeing, sitting, bending, reaching, lifting up to 25 lbs.
