Events Associate

Job Summary We are seeking an Events Associate for a temp-to-hire opportunity supporting exhibitor services for major trade shows, conventions, and events in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Key Responsibilities Respond to exhibitor, attendee, and customer inquiries by phone, email, and chat with professionalism and accuracy. Provide customer service support before, during, and after trade shows, conventions, and local events. Assist with event preparation, onsite support, issue resolution, and post-event follow-up. Make outbound calls to engage prospective, current, and returning event attendees or exhibitors. Maintain accurate customer records, update CRM information, and support administrative tasks and special projects. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth customer experience and timely resolution of questions or concerns. Compensation and Benefits Pay: $25 to $27 per hour. Employment type: Temp-to-Hire. Temp-to-perm conversion eligibility after 720 hours. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Location: 100% onsite in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Occasional extended hours, evenings, weekends, and overtime may be required during local conventions, events, or trade shows. Overtime pay is provided when applicable. Some local travel may be required to support events. Required Qualifications and Skills Support exhibitor services and customer care for trade shows, conventions, and events. Manage customer inquiries across phone, email, chat, and CRM systems. Assist with event preparation, onsite service, and post-event follow-up. Coordinate with internal teams to resolve issues and improve the customer experience. At least 2 years of customer service experience. College degree or equivalent work experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Professional phone and email etiquette. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Experience using CRM systems, preferably Salesforce. Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask. Positive attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and willingness to learn. Ability to work 100% onsite in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Flexibility to work occasional extended hours during events when needed. Preferred Qualifications Experience in event services, exhibitor services, trade shows, conventions, or related event support. B2B or B2C customer service experience. Experience with phone systems or contact center platforms. Spanish-speaking skills are a plus. Background in hospitality, banking, retail, restaurant service, or high-volume customer-facing roles.
