Your Key Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostics, and crafting customized care plans
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health conditions in partnership with physicians or independently (following your certification)
• Educating patients and their families on prevention, wellness, and ongoing health management
• Prescribing treatments and medications within the parameters of your practice

• Maintaining accurate and complete documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)

Educational Background

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Certifications Needed

• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Florida
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain within 90 days)
