Automotive Mechanic | High Value Core Puller

Description The High Value Core Parts Puller plays a critical role in identifying, retrieving, and handling high‑value components within the production yard or warehouse. This position ensures parts are pulled accurately, handled safely, and processed efficiently to support operational goals and inventory integrity. Essential Job Duties Safely maneuver around the yard or warehouse. Find/Retrieve parts. Package parts for delivery/or prepping. Handle any paperwork involved with the parts. Pull work orders. Use hand tools and power tools to remove parts from cars. Operate a powered industrial truck (forklift) or order picker. Pull and prep all sheet metal and other orders. Tag all parts properly for the destination. Communicate with Sales and Dispatch. Maintain a positive and friendly attitude and appropriate behavior during work hours. Maintain cleanliness in the work area. Assume other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities Not responsible for supervising employees. Requirements Minimum Requirements Education & Experience: High School Diploma/GED (preferred). Preferred Requirements A working knowledge of automotive parts. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs. Frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics, etc. Basic oral communication and brief written messages; maintain simple records; provide guidance on routine procedures. Problem solving for routine, somewhat repetitive tasks following clear directions and procedures. Make decisions that generally affect one's own job or the assigned functional area. Work within established guidelines with broad guidance from supervisor/manager. Prioritize assigned and routine tasks appropriately. Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment Occasionally required to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit for extended periods. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds; on occasion up to 100 pounds. Exposure to hazardous situations, conditions, and equipment; work in cramped spaces or under vehicles; may require awkward postures; wear PPE; exposure to extreme temperatures and high noise levels. Travel may be required periodically, including overnight stays (contingent on position requirements).
