Actively Interviewing for Entry Level Microbiologist Technician to join specialty food and beverage company in Atlanta, GA!

Description

• Prepare microbiological media and maintain bacterial cultures under aerobic and anaerobic conditions.
• Revive archived cultures, prepare glycerol stocks, and perform aseptic techniques.
• Extract genomic DNA, prepare samples for 16S rRNA sequencing, and maintain accurate records.
• Perform small-scale microbial fermentations (shake flask level) and monitor culture growth.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge or laboratory experience in microbiology, molecular biology, or fermentation is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a safe laboratory environment and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to accurately document experimental work.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Atlanta, GA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
