Otr Cdl-A Driver - Lease Purchase Program

Job Summary Drivers operate heavy‑duty trucks with front, side, or rear‑end load‑lift attachments. They transport waste, recyclable material, and containers to disposal, transfer or recycling facilities. Responsibilities vary across commercial, residential, and roll‑off duties and include high‑traffic navigation, backing maneuvers, and safe loading/unloading of containers that may exceed 1,000 pounds. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operate vehicle in compliance with Waste Management Safety and Life Critical Rules, OSHA, and DOT requirements, and all local, state and federal laws. Perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections and document checks using the standard DVIR. Report unsafe situations or service‑related issues to Operations Manager or Dispatch immediately. Attend scheduled training, briefings, and meetings as directed by WM or Route Manager. Collaborate with Operations Manager to improve route efficiencies and best practices. Notify Operations Manager of incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage. Communicate customer requests to Operations Manager or Dispatch. Completely dump all receptacles, leaving customer locations clean and debris‑free. Follow route assignments and complete end‑of‑day documentation and check‑out process. Assist other drivers as directed to meet customer needs. Qualifications Minimum 1 year operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or 1 year equivalent military driving within the last 7 years. At least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the country. Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A with air‑brake endorsement or CDL Class B with air‑brake endorsement. Valid respirable dust mask for recycling work. Ability to read, write, and speak English. Pass pre‑employment screening including drug screen and physical. Preferred: High School Diploma or GED (accredited). Physical Requirements Standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, reaching, speaking, hearing. Pay The expected base pay range for this on‑site position is $34.31 per hour, which may be influenced by experience, education, training, and location.
