Job Description
As a General Laborer, you will support various trades (like masonry, carpentry, or electrical) by performing essential manual tasks. Your primary goal is to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient job site while assisting in the completion of structural projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Preparation: Clearing debris, removing hazards, and setting up temporary structures like scaffolding or barricades.
Material Handling: Loading and unloading trucks; moving bricks, lumber, or drywall to specific work areas.
Manual Labor: Digging trenches, compacting earth, and backfilling holes for foundations or utilities.
Assisting Trades: Mixing and pouring concrete, helping with framing, or holding materials in place for skilled craftsmen.
Tool Operation: Operating basic hand and power tools (drills, saws, jackhammers, and pressure washers) as well as heavy machinery like forklifts or skid steers if certified.
Site Maintenance: Daily cleanup to ensure the workspace remains organized and compliant with OSHA safety standards.
