Valley View is seeking HIM Specialist with strong attention to detail and customer service skills to assist our Heart and Vascular Clinic.

Will require in-person training and some in person; but mainly remote.

Will work Vyne for both HVC Grand Junction and HVC Glenwood Springs, to include saving documents into media manager, transcribing orders, and referrals, faxing medical records to outreach facilities, saving medical records into EPIC charts. Cross train to charge entry required.

Handle, organize, and protect medical records while carrying out key medical records tasks. Requires strong attention to detail, excellent multitasking skills, and effective communication abilities.

Customer Service experience preferred!

GENERAL OBJECTIVES

1. Performs Main Medical Record Activities.
2. Performs Departmental receptionist/secretary duties.
3. Performs Scanning, QA and Document indexing Activities.
4. Performs Periodic Record Review Activities as Directed by Director of Clinic.
5. Provides Release of Information Services as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

• Medical Secretary Certification or Health Information Management courses preferred
• Attention to detail
• Consistency and accuracy in routine job functions

PREFERRED

• Experience working in EPIC
• Medical Terminology or Clinical Experience
• Previous Health Information Experience preferred.
