HSE Specialist

Your Next Opportunity The HSE Specialist I is an entry‑level professional safety position. It is a field‑based role that supports the implementation of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs by collaborating with internal teams, regulatory bodies, and customer representatives. What You’ll Do Collaborate with internal teams, client representatives, regulatory agencies, and medical facilities to maintain effective working relationships. Support and promote the company’s safety program and local incident prevention initiatives to reduce risk behaviors. Assist in implementing project‑based safety programs aligned with strategic goals. Contribute to pre‑task planning and job‑site safety meetings. Help prepare and deliver safety meetings and training to enhance hazard awareness. Contribute to the development and review of job hazard analyses to identify risks and control measures. Support incident, near‑miss, and claim investigations and communications. Maintain a working knowledge of company HSE standards, programs, and objectives. Promote HSE goals across projects to ensure a safe and productive environment. Assist in developing routine HSE project plans and specifications. Provide input for audits, inspections, evaluations, and incident investigations. Maintain required reports and documentation to meet corporate and regulatory standards. Qualifications Minimum of a 4‑year related degree, or a high‑school diploma with a minimum of 4 years of related experience. OSHA 30‑hour certification, First Aid/CPR, and STS‑C certification. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Professional interpersonal and customer‑service skills. Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization’s hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, and supporting administrative practices. Proven time‑management skills with a track record of meeting deadlines. Analytical and problem‑solving skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with changing priorities. Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude. Self‑motivated, proactive, and an effective team player. Effective communication with all levels of employees, vendors, and clients. Ability to spend 80% of working time on active construction sites. Travel Up to 25% of the time as needed. Working Conditions General work environment includes sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, and bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning. Noise levels are typically low to medium, but may be loud on the job site.
