Manager In Training (Part Time)

Location: Stockbridge, Georgia (Hudson Bridge Crossing) – Hibbett Retail, Inc. Job Title: Manager in Training | Department: Operations | FLSA Status: Non-Exempt | Reports To: Store Manager Hourly: $13.25 The Manager in Training is responsible for assisting the Store Manager regarding overall operations and administrative duties. The Manager in Training is knowledgeable in each product area or department in our store and helps promote a unique customer experience, acquiring and retaining long‑time customers. Responsibilities Assist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear Consult with the Store Manager to establish action plans for departmental and overall store responsibilities including selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling. Assume responsibility for the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager. Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers across all departments as needed. Maintain awareness of inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability. Direct staff to ensure each department’s responsibilities and standards are completed. Keep the Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends. Assure quality customer service is maintained. Perform general administrative duties as needed and be trained in the Store Manager’s responsibilities. Produce exceptional customer service as highlighted in the customer service manual, including greeting customers and assisting multiple customers during peak periods. Promote and sell services and merchandise provided by Hibbett I City Gear. Practice and uphold all company policies, procedures, and standards as listed in the operations policy manual, personnel policy manual, visual manual, customer service manual, and company memos. Protect the company’s assets and financial information by ensuring accurate internal control procedures and informing management or appropriate officials of potential fraud risk. Supervisory Responsibilities Supervise employees in the absence of the Store Manager. Carry out supervisory duties in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws. Interview, train, plan, assign, direct work, and resolve problems with employees. Qualifications Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel. 1–3 years of customer service experience. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with overall goals and profits. Self‑starter with initiative to take on important tasks without being asked. Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with precision.
