divh2Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse/h2pCoordinates and provides family-centered nursing care to infants, children and adolescents, utilizing the nursing process. Accountable for professional practice including independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions performed in collaboration with other health team members. THIS IS AN MNA CONTRACT POSITION./ppEducation Requirements: strongGraduate of an accredited school of nursing./strong strongCurrent Minnesota RN licensure./strong strongCurrent BLS certification./strong strongCurrent (minimum of 1 year within the last 2 years) NICU experience/strong which includes ability to care for infants: requiring assisted ventilation, surgical cases per and post op, and pre-term infants where strong knowledge of developmental care is expected. Delivery room and/or CHG nurse experience preferred. Float Team or PICU RNs who are able to demonstrate Neonatal Competencies with these same patient types will be evaluated and considered to meet Level 3 qualifications. An informational meeting with the Patient Care Manager is required prior to awarding the position. Based upon the unit in which you are applying, additional certification(s) may be required.
