Position Overview The Plant Manager will lead and optimize all aspects of a high‑volume aluminum extrusion facility. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and workforce engagement while ensuring alignment with company objectives. This is a highly visible leadership position requiring both strategic thinking and hands‑on execution in a complex manufacturing environment. What You Get Competitive salary (based on experience) Performance‑based bonus opportunity Comprehensive benefits package Stable leadership role within a growing manufacturing company Opportunity to lead a large, complex operation Career growth within a respected industry leader A culture focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement Key Responsibilities Lead all plant operations including extrusion, finishing, fabrication, and shipping Drive key performance metrics: safety, quality, scrap reduction, uptime, and on‑time delivery Analyze production data to identify opportunities and implement improvements Manage plant financial performance including budgets and cost controls Oversee scheduling, capacity planning, and material flow Partner with HR to support workforce planning and union relations Lead, coach, and develop managers, supervisors, and frontline employees Champion Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives Ensure strong communication and engagement across all levels of the organization Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience) 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing Proven experience managing large‑scale operations (500+ employees preferred)Strong knowledge of aluminum extrusion processes and related operations Experience in high‑volume production environments with aggressive KPIs Background in union environments and labor relations Financial acumen including budgeting and capital project management Experience with ERP systems and production scheduling Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills Why Astro Shapes?
