As a Claims Advocate, you will proactively manage claims and achieve favorable claim resolutions for clients of CAC’s Financial Lines, Cyber, and Transactional Liability Practices, to include the following lines of coverage: public and private D&O, E&O, employment practices, cyber, fiduciary, crime, kidnap and ransom, and representations and warranties.**Duties & Responsibilities:*** Provide coverage and wording advice to clients and brokers as appropriate* Timely and accurately report new claims and circumstances while proactively identifying potential coverage issues that may impact resolution* Assist with obtaining insurer consent for counsel and settlements* Assist with analysis of reservation-of-rights letters from insurers and drafting of coverage arguments* Facilitate client meetings and conference calls with insurers* Advocate aggressively on clients’ behalf when coverage disputes arise* Leverage business relationships and deploy CAC executive leadership as necessary* Maintain up-to-date records, including online file maintenance* Work closely with producers and broking colleagues to provide claim information for business renewals, client presentations and RFPs* Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients and insurer claim representatives**Qualifications:*** Bachelor’s Degree required (paralegal certification or law degree is beneficial)* 5+ years of relevant work experience required* Risk management designations helpful (RPLU, CPCU, etc.)* Strong multitasking & time management skills* Excellent negotiation, communication and relationship management skills* Strong analytical skills* Understanding of claims and litigation trends affecting the D&O and EPL market* Ability to engage with and present confidently to clients and prospects, as well as internally* Ability to identify client needs and provide solutions to address those needs* Ability to set realistic client expectations and deliver in a time-sensitive environmentClick here for some insight into our culture!The Baldwin Group will not accept unsolicited resumes from any source other than directly from a candidate who applies on our career site.
