Overview
Registered Nurse, Med Surg | Zanesville, Ohio | Start date 10/19/2026 | Assignment duration 13 weeks | 36 guaranteed hours per week | 3x12-hour day shifts (7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.) with every third weekend; no on-call requirement. This travel assignment is on a Med-Surg care team with telemetry responsibilities and may involve occasional float to other Med-Surg units.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care on a Med-Surg unit with telemetry monitoring; provide care to adults and assist with respiratory care needs as assigned, with potential float to other Med-Surg areas
- Administer medications, IV therapies, wound care, and routine treatments per physician orders; monitor for adverse reactions and document findings
- Monitor telemetry readings, identify rhythm disturbances, and escalate as needed; document clinical data accurately in Epic EMR
- Collaborate with physicians, case management, and ancillary staff to coordinate care plans, discharge planning, and patient education
- Uphold patient safety, infection control, and comfort measures; manage lines, drains, and IV access; assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Communicate clearly with patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge care; maintain professional standards and teamwork

Requirements
- Active Ohio RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum 3 years of current telemetry and/or step-down experience; ability to read telemetry; competency will be tested on day one
- Epic EMR proficiency required (refresher classes or 1:1 onboarding is not available as an option)
- Ability to work day shifts and participate in the stated weekend rotation; capable of floating to other Med-Surg units as needed
